Downloading Inventor 2014

I am hoping someone can help.

I have just purchased an ACER ES1-512-C3FQ as I am a student using the Inventor package and had invented to use the laptop for this reason.

I am having difficulty downloading it- I checked the spec would allow me to download the program before buying but I may have missed something.

I have an account, I select 2014, English and 64 bit processor, later on I select that I need the Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014. I select all of the options on the configure installation page and hit install. It says it is down loading but when I come back I get the final screen which has "Installation COmplete"at the top it also says "Some items failed to install" followed by a list with X's beside everything.

I have been trying for two days- used different combinations, different versions and even different internet connections but am having no joy- any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

T

I have attached the installation log file if this helps.

You didn't mention OS version.  Is this Win 10?

Try the Browser Donwnload method from the Autodesk Virtual Agent.

it looks like you're installing this on a 8.1 version

Do you have admin rights set up ...

Firewall?

Internet Connection?

Did Autocad or anything else install completely?

Once you get it all installed, you'll need to look at this:

http://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticl...

Older versions of Inventor need all of the patches etc to start up and run properly.

It looks like you are having Internet connection issues, just quickly looking at the log you provided. I would suggest trying a different connection to the Internet.

You might also consider cleaning all your Temp and Cache files/folders.

Make sure that you have Administrative Privileges as well.

Thank you for the responses everyone!

Just to confirm the OS is Windows 8.1

I have tried it on another two connections- most recently one was 19MB/s but still no joy. A friend has downloaded it recently on a slower connect so I don't think it is the connection.

Similar to the other installation attempts, at 23 of 27, the installation fails - I've attached the latest installation log.

I honestly don't know why the package isn't installing. Any futher help would be greatly appreciate.

Thanks all!
