Distance tool

When using IAM file, the "distance" tool is having 3 options:
1 - compenent priority
2 - part priority
3 - select faces & edges.

Option 1 & 2 are useless. Number 3 is the one I'm always using.
How do I turn options #1 & 2 off?

Mine always defaults to faces and edges anyways..

Mine is always always always set to the first!

You need to load the Inventor subscription bonus tools.
One of the features is that it sets the face option to default.

One feature in Inventor 2009 subscription can set the face and edge as default. That feature also support pre-selection work flow which means you can pre-select two objects before invoke the measure distance.
