DIRECT EDIT

I am using direct edit to move a solid which is fine.

I then want to move a surface and I cant find a way to do this as even if you select faces it wont select a surface.

I believe Direct tool only works in solid faces.

Tip: You can use other tools to edit the surface... Use Thickness tool (surface mode) to offset the surface, or extend the surface, etc.

For Surface Body...

It says Solid Body in the tool tip - but it will also move surface bodies.

I don’t see that in your original problem statement.

 

To scale used Derived Component. 😎
