Dimensioning of an ellipse segment

How do I dimension a segment of an ellipse in Inventor drawing?

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. Is it something like this?  Maybe if you did a screenshot showing what you're trying to achieve.

You can add evenly separated lines along the elliptical curve and dimension.  Someone will be using a ship's curve or other device to lay it out so all they have to do is joint the points.

I didn't open your file, but my first thought is to import dimensions from the part sketch.

I investigated that option, but the part itself is created from an angle 8 x 8 x 1.125 inserted into pipe 14' - 0" I.D. under certain angle and then trimmed using "split part using surface". That produces a elliptical curve, but there are no points on the curve except 3 points (2 end points and mid-point) to use as ordinates for subsequent dimensioning.
Instead, I used the 3 available points (2 ends and mid) to create 3-point arc. Then I made elliptical curve invisible. It is close enough for the fabrication of "spiral" lifters.

Hi, when I encounter similar problems, I draw a sketch within the drawing view window and create  lines where I want to add dimensions. The workflow is very similar to sketches in a part model.

You create references to the contours.

Now you can add dimensions to the lines of the sketch.

Yeap, I know this workaround - but this is the only workaround.
