DIMENSION DISPLAY INVENTOR 2022

I am working in a part file and even though I have set my template file to display dimensions as expressions and again changed it in document properties it keeps reverting back to just displaying the dimensions. The setting shows Dimension as expression.
I change this a number of times during my session.

Hi Anthony,

If the change has been saved in the template, it should work. Are you able to reproduce it persistently?

Many thanks!

Yes its happened a few times yesterday and I checked the template file and in the file I was working on.
Also as you noticed in the image I attached the setting is on expression but the dimension is on value

We have the same issue, it keeps reverting to "Display precise value".

Is there a patch for this yet?

Hi Anthony and Matt,

I am on an internal build targeting 2022.1 update. I cannot seem to reproduce the behavior. It may have been fixed. A testable patch targeting 2022.1 is available on Inventor Feedback Community (https://autode.sk/InventorBeta). Please take a look and try it out.

Many thanks!

I can't see any patch downloads in there?

Inventor 2022.1 Beta is what @johnsonshiue is referring to.

Can you Attach a file that exhibits this  behavior where the display doesn’t match the setting (delete any proprietary geometry).

It happens on all ipt files. You can change it over but it then changes back 10-20 mins later.

Assuming the next update fixes this when is it expected to be released?

Hi Matt,

2022.1 is scheduled to be released some time in July (very soon). It is undergoing the last phase of validation before setting live. But, I am not entirely sure if the update will fix the issue or it was me not following the correct steps to reproduce it.

Many thanks!

This issue is still present in release 2022.1.1

How do I get this escalated so it can be fixed?

Hi Anthony and Matt,

I am sorry I am still having trouble reproducing the behavior. If you know how to reproduce it persistently or it happens on a particular file constantly, please let me know.

Many thanks!

It happens on every part file we create, the dimension display keeps reverting to showing the value even though the expression is selected.

We have 3 Inventor 2022 stations here and they all do the same too.

Hi Anthony,

As you can see in the thread, we are having problems reproducing the behavior. As a result, there is no fix. Would you be able to share a screencast and a part that exhibits the behavior?

Many thanks!
