Hey people, I'm trying to obtain the stress analysis of a bolt pushed on an object, for that I need to constraint the tip of the bolt with the middle face of the second object. I haven't been able to do it and I was wondering if someone could help me on that, thank you in advance.
Just like in your last post...
What are the real life constraints on the object?
Whats fixed/Whats not,etc...
With FEA... Garbage In = Garbage Out
If the bolt head is fixed axially then the bolt shaft will deflect.. If its not then the whole bolt will just slide over
FEA is a great tool... For those that are aware of how to use it properly.. Its not a beginner tool..
If not done right its just a pretty/colorful picture with no real meaning/incorrect results.
Don't forget you can constrain to part origin planes too..
And pictures are great.. but post the parts too..
Thank you for your answer, I am aware that those tools aren't for beginners but I don't have the choice on the method to use to conclude this research so I am doing my best, the difference here is that I haven't used a chamfer with a hole but only a plane face which seems to me to simplify a lot the design. The base part is fixed and the goal is to have it slide, I have multiple designs with different bases, the goal is to study the stress analysis for each. I give you the assembly and different parts in attachments.
