Different design apporach?

Good afternoon all.

I am trying to design the corners of a tank and I am having a hard time. I am attaching a simple assembly to make my point. My problem is I cannot find a way to design the corner to fit 100%. I need to say here that I don't use/like adaptive parts unless is absolutely necessary. My fabricator is doing a great job so he doesn't need the exact dimensions, so the solution is for me (to see how it can be made) and for the model to look nice.

Thanks

Y.

I would model as single body and then Derive Component to get the individual components.

You are doing too much work (and it isn't correct).

The thickness at your bends is not uniform.

(I will post a revision of part A in a moment after I have looked at corner).

Open the Attached file.

Go to Manage>Make Components.

Select the Wall and the Corner.

Make sure that metric sheet metal template is selected...

(Or you could model separately since this is simple geometry.)

You could extend the stiffening to meet each other. So you don't need the extra piece. It'll look like 2 angle miter rotated 45 deg. Master Sketch should help.

This is the different approach that I was looking for. Thank you very much for your time and effort.
