Diameter symbol

Attached is the graphics showing the diameter symbol as character "n".  Wonder where I have make the errors.  I just upgrade from 2015 to 2016 and 1st attempt of using dimensioning in 2016.

I won't have 2016 til this week. So I'm guessing here.   I haven't seen anyone else post about this issue in 2016 yet.

What happens if you go to Styles and hit update?

Did you by any chance uninstall a previous version of Inventor after installing 2016?  You are missing the AIGDT font which contains those symbols (the diameter symbol is the same number code as n in normal text fonts, the countersink symbol is the same as v, etc).  Try a repair on your 2016 installation.  If that doesn't do the job, someone here may be able to dig up the font file.  I know this has been dealt with in the past in this forum.

Simply unzip and install the attached font in your c:/windows/fonts folder

  You are right.  I have deleted all files linked to the earlier version of Inventor to look neat.  Now need to find a way to install back the fonts.

The files in the window folder is not zip.  Can I copy the files from a station using Inventor 2015 from the Compatibility/Fonts folder to Inventor 2016 Compatibility/Fonts folder on my station?

I choose to re-installed Inventor 2016 after having deleted all older versions of Inventor.  The problem stills persist.  Does anyone who install Inventor 2016 as a first time user of Inventor has similar problem?

Same happened with me after uninstalling Inventor 2015 with 2016 installed. All symbols for feature control frame gone. Thanks for the Aigdt download link. Merci!

I have had a recent change in AutoCAD 2016 where the diameter symbol has now become a box.  It only happens with diameter symbols that were created by AutoCAD automatically when a diameter dimension is created.  It only happens with the default "Arial" font.  If the (phi) diameter symbol is produced in any other font or method, the symbol comes in correctly. 

The diameter dimension on the left was created using the diameter dimension command.  The diameter symbol on the left was placed with the multiline text editor into the dimension text.

Rename the file as AIGDT not AIGDT___

Then save it to C:\Windows\Fonts
