Diagonal Constraint Interference

Good Afternoon,

I am making a structure (please see attachments) that has several cross-braces attached to the  main frame.

The cross-braces intersect each other, causing an interference.

Is there a way to diagonally-constrain the cross-braces without intersecting them?

My drawing is not affected in any way by the interference, my concern is purely cosmetic.

Thank you.

Regards,

I would assemble them exactly the same way that they are assembled in the real world.

I would not be able to sleep at night with the parts not assembled correctly.

Good Morning JDMather,

Based on your answer I will assume that there is no way to remove the interference.

I will definitely assemble the parts correctly.

Thank you.

The way to remove the interference is to assemble the components exactly like they would be assembled in the real world.

Hi! Drawing in your case may look Ok with interference. But, I have seen cases that some components are not properly included or edges are missing due to pre-existing interference. I personally think the assemblies and parts should always be ideal build. Any imperfection can lead to unforeseen downstream issues.

Many thanks!

Hello Johnson Shiue,

I constrained the second cross-brace with an offset to clear the first one. The resulting gap is very small.

In the real world the gap would be removed when the cross-braces are tightened, or by adding a washer.
