Hello eveyone,
I'd like to know how would you go about creating a part in inventor like the one in the attached drawing.
Sheet metal? Is it possible to create that kind of round corner?
Thanks

Hello @pastinaca
You can create this in Inventor, using Sheet Metal.
But you will need a RIP to enable the part to unfold. Also the radius wont be as big, dependent on what tooling you use in the press brake determines the bend radius
I will draw something up to show you.
I have attached a Sheet Metal Part.
The part is a little different to the drawing you have.
This is Due to:
Radius being folded in a 8mm VEE
The little folds on the side being offset to stop them intersecting when unfolded.
A RIP in the part to allow the part to be unfolded.
This is the part modeled in Sheet Metal. The part you have will have been pressed, hence why it is a little different.
Hope this helps, and gives you an idea what the part will look like, and how to model it.
Thanks for your help @Thomas_Savage !
If I'm not interested in unfold it (I already have the real part, I only need to model to place it in an assembly) would it be possible to model it exactly as the drawing?

Modeling the part is easy - what version of Inventor are you using?
Can you Attach the *.ipt file of your attempt?
Once I have your attempt - I can show how I would model the part.
Thanks, I think I've almost solved.
I couldn't shape that rounded corner cause I was appling fillet to the outside edges first...
Starting from the inside ones it works

Keep it simple (see Attached file).
I laid awake all night thinking that I was working too hard on this.
