Default BIM Connector Direction in Inventor

All,

Good afternoon!  Sorry for the short message, but my first attempt at this post got wiped out, so I'm going to be brief.  Please see the video below and can anyone provide insights on how Inventor determines the default direction for BIM Connectors.  It seems a bit inconsistent.  Thanks in advance for any insights, hope all is well and have a most blessed day!

Peace,

Pete

Hi Pete,

How are you doing? If recall correctly, the connector direction should be consistent with the face normal (pointing outward). Sometimes, the face normal may be inverted on imported geometry. You can right-click on the import base feature -> Repair Bodies -> Flip Normal. Does it work better now?

Many thanks!
