Datum Target Help

In Solidworks, I create 3 sketches on my model with each sketch defining the location of the Datum Targets.

1 sketch with 3 points, 1 sketch with 2 points (or lines), and a 1 sketch with one point (or line)

(The die caster also uses these sketches to create their fixture)

I am then able to use these sketches in my drawing views to layout my Datum Targets.

I'm looking for an equivalent process in Inventor.  Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Hi Todd,

I thought you could use "Get Model Sketches" command to include sketches in the part. Right-click on the part in the drawing browser-> Get Model Sketches. After that, you can annotate the sketches.

Many thanks!
