I'll try that.
Yes, Inventor will open all iam and ipt files.
I'll be back in the office on Saturday, I'll give your ideas a shot then
(till then enjoying sunny North Carolina 😉

Will Inv open the Assemblies ?
You might find it worthwhile re-selecting Tools --> App Ops -->
Save(tab) --> Prompt
to save for re-computable updates.
Open the top level assembly - not the P&G'd version
Then File --> Save All.
Then File --> Close All
The P&G
Open the top level P&G'd assembly and Save All, Close All.

I have perfromed a "Pack and Go" on a large assembly. I subsequently moved
the files to my laptop, which has Inventor View. When I try to open any of
the assemblies I get the message:
"The database in C:/(Fill in the file name) could not be opened."
I can open the ipt files with no issues, only the iam files give the above
error.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
