Hi All,

I hve sheet metal on which i need to cut a text or logo. I hv tried to add text on an offset plane but i am unable to select text when i try to cut thru sheet metal. Even by selecting actual surface its not being selected. Not sure why ?

Lastly, i tried to import icon from AutoCAD but it says open loop. I tried to close the loop. What i am trying to achieve is cut through a text across sheet metal.

Let me know to do ? Emboss n engrave works ok on solid but unable to do on sheetmetal.

Regards and Thanks in Advance.

Yash

I'd probably just use Extrude/Emboss within sheetmetal for just the logo, should work fine. (from the 3D model tab)
Just set the depth to "Thickness" and make sure you bridge any letters that need it. (like O's, e's, etc. depending on font choice)

There are plenty of "free" stencil fonts if you want to avoid those pieces of text that fall out:
