How can i make my call out for jackscrew to work? The lower one shown is how it comes in, the upper one is what I would like it to say.  I created a hole on the thread xls for jackscrews. Just the c'bore will not work so have to go in and and change it to what i need. So would like to be able to make the call out work now.

If it is not working with the styles, the only other thing I can think of would be to create an iLogic routine that would do this.

I'm currently playing around in styles. I don't know much about this so i might be doing something wrong.  I don't know how to iLogic.

Looks as if you've almost got it.  How about using the Custom Thread Designation (<THDCD>) column in the Excel table for your nominal jack screw size?  Or the Fastener Size (<FSZ>)?

In addition, you're showing your custom hole note under the Thru hole type; it should be under the Thru Counterbore - Full Thread type, since that's what you're actually using (I assume?).

Edit: if you could actually post a sample part, drawing and thread.xls file, I'll be happy to show you.

Hi! Again, I could be wrong because there are a lot of workflows in Inventor drawing. But, I don't believe it will work like you intended. The issue here is <FSZ> is particular to fastner components created from Content Center. I don't believe the column exists on Thread table. Did you see a documentation showing this should work? If yes, please point me to the document. I would like to understand it better.

I used your thread.xls file and changed the Custom Thread Designation column as shown below.  I then placed new holes (old ones would not use the new thread data, apparently), and altered the hole note style as shown below.  Notes now look as you want them to.

This, I think, answers part of your original question, but I don't have an answer for how you could get a standard hole set up with thread and counterbore.  Clearance.xls gives standard counterbore data for clearance holes, not for threaded holes.  I'm afraid you will continue to have to enter the counterbore dimensions manually, unless you, or someone you hire, can create a small add-in to do this.

I think we will be OK with typing in the dimensions for the c'bore in hole wizard. Trying to get where we spend less time typing information in on our stuff.  Thank you for the help with this.
