Custom content center nuts and Autodrop

I've created a library of fasteners by copying and modifying existing ones. When I try to use the autodrop function while placing a bolt, custom washers are detected just fine and work perfectly, but nuts do not appear in their category. ISO or others do appear, just not the ones I copied to our custom library, even though I used the exact same process as the washers.

From the image above, it looks that your Nuts aren't in Standard "OLEXA" and it could be a reason, why they aren't visible. Other options is that they don't have sizes M10.

They do check both those boxes though, see linked image...

So it looks that it's not an issue in Category but with size(s) in your family. The message in the bottom part of the Bolted Connection dialog for Category "Ecrous" / Nuts ... says "The values ​​specified in the previous dialog box did not produce any results."

I have used "DIN EN 4032" and did a "Copy To" my RW library and changed Family Properties acc. to your Nut family. I can see this family in BC without any problems.

BUT
when I changed a Pitch for this Nut from 1.5 to 1 then I can't see this Nut family in BC dialog, which is expected because screw has Size 10 x 1.5 but Nut has only M10x1.

Odd. Both my screws and the nuts do have the same "THREADDESC" variable and still don't show. I noticed you have a "designation" option in BC under "thread", which I don't have. Is it an option I have to turn on ? Could help find the issue.

The issue is likely due to incorrect modification or formatting of your custom Content Center family, which prevents it from being recognized by the Bolted Connection wizard. To fix this, ensure your custom family table is formatted to match a standard style, the family properties are correctly assigned.

Bolted connection expects the format which we follow in Autodesk CC parts. We recommend to re-use existing CC families and modify them. 

Other option is that you can share with us you Content Center custom library and we will look at it. You can use my email [email protected].
