CTRL-Z (undo) is very slow in Inventor 2023 Assemblies

Since upgrading to Inventor 2023 from 2022, when using undo in assemblies, it takes way longer than before. For example, if I hide a part (ALT-V) and then do CTRL-Z, it takes like 5 secs for the part to reappear. Inventor is frozen during that time.

I think it was instantaneous before.

Anyone noticed this?

Running 2023.2.1

Perhaps increase your undo file size under Tools > App. Options > General > Undo file size (MB) to double or 4x the default 1024 MB.

Does not seem to work.
I have increased to the 8191MB limit but does not increase the speed at all.

Hi! I suspect something else is acting up. It should not be related to Undo itself or the Undo file size. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated (make sure Inventor.exe runs on the dedicated graphics card). Install Inventor 2023.3 update. Go to File Explorer and clean up %temp%.

Go to Tools -> App Options -> Display -> View transition time = 0.7 sec -> Minimum frame rate = 8Hz.

Also go to Tools -> App Options -> Assembly -> uncheck "Enable Express mode."

Many thanks!

Problem solved by updating to 2023.3
