creating images for assembly manual

Hopefully a simple question. I'm creating images for a manual. I want to show how to disassemble an assembly in stages. I thought I'd create an ipn and create snapshots of the different stages.

All appeared to be going well. When I was 8 or so snapshots in, I checked one of the first snapshots i created; one of the parts that I'd turned off the visibility in shot 8, was turned off. I don't want this to happen. Is there a way to lock he snapshots? I've created different Storyboards for each snapshot, but these to are updating!

Is this the best way to create assembly/disassembly images?

Please help!

What version of Inventor are you using?

How did you create the snap shots?

Did you know in the ipn file you can play a video that shows the assembly and disassembly of your explosion?

Thank you for the response.

Inventor Professional 2019.

I created the snapshots by:

  • New storyboard
  • Arrange components
  • New Snapshot View (Presentation tab/Workshop)

I was aware that a video can be created, but in this instance I require a series of images of the different stages
