Creating a flat pattern from a loft

Hello,

I can't make a flat pattern from a loft.

First of all, I did get a model (11951-222505_022.ipt), but I don't know it's extension, but Inventor is opening it (and i did save it in .ipt), then I wanted to make a flat pattern from that weird model, but it didn't work, so I did tried to make myself one, simillar (Part4)

First I made a sketch, then another sketch, lofted it and that's it. What am I doing wrong?

Can someone help me with this please?

In attachement you can find the ipt file where i wqnt to have a flat pattern.

Plate thickness should be 5mm.

Thanks in advance

@thomas.vanhaecke

You have use Loft when you should have used Lofted Flange (a sheet metal tool).

These are two different tools...

@JDMather ,

I have tried this, but the result is not the same as i use normal loft.

See in attached the file with loft and the file with lofted flange.

I can't seem to get it right.

Can you give me some tips ore show how i can make this in lofted flange please?

Ore maybe see what i am doing wrong in part "AALHMOB_80"

Thanks in advance.

@thomas.vanhaecke

Your part is twisted (not cylindrical or conic bend).  If you can't work around the Lofted Flange "solution" then perhaps Unwrap of the Lofted solution.
