Creating 2 part Die for Plastic Jetting

Hello, I need help with creating 2 part die for plastic jetting. Idealy upper die as one file, bottom as another one.

I will simulate creation of die with 3axis milling, so It must be manufacturable by that. 

I use Inventor 2016 Professional.

I´m attaching a simplified picture of how it should look like. I was trying to make rectangle and then extrude it "up to next" but thats not working due to the holes and stuff. I´m just learning to work in Inventor and Can´t figure this out.

Can you help me ?

Inventor pro has mold/tooling for designing injection molds..

If you don't want/don't know how to use that you can use derive to create a simple clam shell mold..

You are missing draft angle on a lot of faces and missing dimensions?
Also, I think you might need to reconsider some of the geometry to get clean parting edges.

I have no idea what you mean JDMather...

 

Also mcgyvr that mold tool was somewhat helpful but it´s too complicated.

There must be a easy way to make that form. Something like inverted intercepted extrude or something...

Guess you didn't see that I stated to use "Derive" in my post as well as using the mold tool module..

Now that JD has shown you just how easy the mold design module can be I assume you will use that now..

But "derive" functionality as shown in the PDF above is the way to do that without the mold module..
