Create Drawing in 2017, how to work with..

I just updated from 2015 to 2017 this week.  I cant stand the new dialog for creating a drawing view.  Is there a way to change this dialog, or am I missing something in how to use it?

You used to be able to create a custom view, it would take you into model space, orient it how you want, click finished and theres your view.  Now, when you place view, it automatically creates a front view or whatever and you have no choice but to place that it seems like???

It takes a bit of getting used to the new way, but once you do, you will like it.  (or at least I do)

The key is to use the View Cube to select and create the desired view.

to go back to the model click the down arrow and custom

in the small black circle 

However you can rotate the cube and arrows to get the view you want ... just takes a few to get use too. But I find it much easier as you see it right away

Ill be damned, they need to make that cube more obvious!  I never even noticed it there, yeah I can see this as being easier now.
