Hi, I'm trying to create an angle between the purple circle center point and the ax without drawing a line on the ax.

You can't have an angle between points. If you pattern sketch points (assuming you are doing some kind of flange), you can add a horizontal constraint between the top two. Screenshot below

Why you do not want to draw a line?

It is the simplest method. and line does not need to be long, it can be so short that you will barely see it.

Alternatively you can define your angle as a parameter and than use two orthogonal dimensions of proper trigonometry functions (sin, cos) of your radius.

But I would really go with the simplest option, that is a construction line.

With current Inventor versions you can draw an angle between 3 points...

I've added a youtube link with a visual example of how to achieve this 🙂
