Create 3D triangle pyramid

Hi

I have been working a bit with Inventor on and off for the past 10 years but I still need some help 😉

I need to create a 3D triangle pyramid, like the one the attached picture.

The base needs to be 120x120x120mm and the same goes for the sides, the "beams" needs to be 5x5mm.

Can any one help me with a detailed description on have a can solve this.

Thanks in advanced.

Is this to be used in frame generator ? Then use the skeleton attached.

If it's just a single part you want then use second file attached.

I am using Inventor 2015

Hi

Thanks for the info, looks nice, but I was more after a detailed description of the steps involved, cause I have a few things I need to draw where I have to use this.

Forgot to say WELCOME TO THE FORUM..

first off: are the files provided by me correct, is that what you're after? is that satisfying your needs because I can create a screencast and show you how....

Are you trying to find information on how to manufacture them? or just model them?

It's just what I wanted 🙂

The "beams" just needs to be square (5X5mm) not round.

Just model them, that's it.

Let's try one more time.. Check the attachment and see if that's what you're after, and drag the End Of Part down to see full model.

Unfortunately it didn't created separated bodies in 2015 in pattern but you get the idea.

I believe this is what your're after, a symmetric model rather than having a BASE face and inclined members.
