I am joining metal parts on a custom chair and keep getting this creaking sound from the joints. Anyone know what this is and how to cure it?
Didn't realise Inventor had sound effects too. Must turn my speakers on! 😉

You could change it to something else

I like the positive reinforcement that you get with this when it works! Can you change it for a failed constraint thou? 😂
Game show buzzer style perhaps!
or turn it off

Hi, all joking aside, can you provide more detail or maybe a video (with sound) so we can hear what you are hearing?

Hi! This is related to some default Windows notification sound based on the type of notification and the source. There are a few places to check. Go to Sound settings -> Sounds -> Program Events -> set "Asterisk", "Default Beep", and "Program Error" to None.
Many thanks!
Much needed more detail on this question. Sorry for delay.
I am building a chair prototype and the painted steel frame creaks. The bolts are tight but it seems like the metal parts and against metal parts make this sound. It gets loud too.
Wait, are you talking about a physical chair? You could try a thin rubber gasket between the parts.
