Could not place component from content center library

As a CAD admin I have 3 custom libraries that are in Vault server. I have one user who could not place any component from any family in 2 of the libraries, and he has no problem in placing any components from the 3rd library. I have tried all the technical articles provided by Autodesk in this context, but I couldn't solve it. Any other suggestions.

This happens for only one user. One of the below link talks about

Please check that this user has the updated project file (IPJ) active in his environment. Also check the Application Options > Content Center settings to see if they match what others have.

Hi Venkatraj GM,

The fact that this affects only one user is an important clue.

Since:

  • other users can place components from the same libraries,
  • and the affected user can successfully place components from the third custom library,

this does not appear to be a general Content Center or Vault issue.

I would recommend checking:

  • the exact error message shown during placement
  • Vault permissions for the affected user
  • Content Center Files location and write permissions
  • whether other users can place components from the same two libraries
  • whether all three libraries are configured identically

Also, could you confirm whether the affected user can place components from the standard Autodesk Content Center libraries?

That information should help narrow down whether the issue is related to permissions, local configuration, or library content.

Best regards,
Roman
