Corner Chamfer Not Working

Can someone please tell me why the function 'Corner Chamfer' is not working on 'Bak 2'?

I've looked up an old file (Bak 1), and it's working there. The idea is to have a chamfer as big as the height of the flange.

First: always tell us what version of Inventor you're using in your first post (or signature).  I see that these files are version 2016.

You may have to get your chamfer by extrude-cut.  It seems that the Chamfer tool has been tweaked and tightened up since version 5 (the creating software version for Bak 1.ipt), and in 2016 it will not extend the chamfer into the bend.

Update: I suspect there is good reason for this-- if you delete the flat pattern in Bak 1 and make a new one, you can see the really complicated (and impossible to practically manufacture) profile you get where the chamfer and bend come together.

The original file was actually modeled incorrectly and it should not have worked back then.

In Inventor 10 or 11 (that is 10 or 11, not 2010 or 2011) the Flat Pattern unfolder was changed.

The correct way to model a cut that goes across a bend is shown below.  (Or Unfold/Refold is another technique.)

Hi! JD is right. Or, you can consider using Cut Normal option in the Cut dialog. I believe the objective of having the cut is to fit a tilted planar face, right?
