Copy Model States to View representations not changing visibility

Hello,

I'm having issues when using copy to view rep.  it is not making any suppressed parts invisible in the new view.

Are there any tricks i'm missing? maybe it's because it is an old assembly, that's just been migrated?

Thanks
David

They are unrelated. Model States are for Supress/Unsupress and ViewReps are for Visible/Invisible. You have to decide which combination of those are useful to you (for a given "state" of your design). With Model States, you can't suppress/unsuppress items within a subassy, so that's where I usually start combining it with the ViewReps, for example; not the most convenient, so I usually don't use Model States at the assembly level.

thanks @mluterman, but i think you missed the point.
right click on a state and you can copy it to a view representation.
however it is not making anything invisible.

You didn't show the rest of your Browser Tree. So are we supposed to guess what you are doing, and if anything there is within a subassembly? Clarify yourself.

Hi David,

The behavior does not sound right to me. If possible, please share an example that exhibits the behavior with me [email protected]. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
