Copy elements from old content center

If we create a new content center, is it possible to copy elements (parts) from other content centers, without having the master ipart? Point is we want to start with a clean CC.

You copy a family table and its template and not exact part from other content center libraries.  There's no need to have the original ipart file because it creates a family template in that family that generates the cc file

And can you reconstruct the ipart from the table so you can republish it? In case you have to modify the part a little?

Place from content center as a custom content center part.   Modify it and then through the CC editor you replace the family template.

But it just a part, not an iPart..

So you are saying you can actually modify the model of a CC part, even if you don't have the original part? You use a custom placed part, modify it and overwrite the CC part with the new model....

Yes to a certain extent..  If the modifications changes the design it may not be possible.   In addition if you get into adding more parametric values, addition work has to be done so the proper mapping occurs.
