Hi,
Im using inventor 2019. My situation is, i need to create 2 ladder which is 1m and 3m length. The composition of of component is same exclude pipe length. So, i use pack and go to copy from 3m to 1m. Then, i edit feature 3000mm to 1000mm. Problem is, when i edit 3000mm to 1000mm, the pipe length in 3m ladder also become 1000mm.
What i need to do so that when i modify 1m ladder, it wont affect 3m ladder?

Make sure that your Pack N Go is taking all of the files it requires, not just the ones you have in the project folder. For example, if your pipe is in a library, then it will still be referenced in -- changing that will change all assemblies that use it. There's an option in there somewhere to unlink libraries and copy those files straight into the Pack N Go.

Did you place the copy (the one you got from the P&G) in the same project folder? If so, I guess you are modifying the same part (file) in both assemblies, so they both are modified.
Inventor does a terrible job on managing copies of assemblies, filenames, etc. Best is to place your P&G in a new project (ipj)

Pack n go is not a copying tool.. Pack n go is used to transfer your model information to sources outside of your organization. You really want to use iLogic Design copy if you don't have access to Autodesk Vault.
