Copy a BOM list into a new 2D-Drawing sheet

Hey ,

I would like to know if the following is possible in Inventor. Maybe it is a bit specific but it will help me a lot.

 - Is it possible to copy and past a part of a splitted BOM list into a new sheet? -

I can't find it anywhere or if it is even possible to do this. Please let me know (:

Parts list are based on models in the drawing. Are you wanting just part of a parts list to be on an independent new drawing?

Hey!

to answer your question: I think yes.. except I want to put it on a new sheet and not a new drawing file.

Currently I have 2 sheets in my drawing file based on a model in sheet 1. I have to split my BOM list since it is to large/long to put on 1 sheet. I want to continue with 'the other half' of the BOM list on sheet 2.

Is it possible to 'copy-paste' the other half of the BOM list on sheet 2?

You can copy & paste a parts list into a new sheet in the same drawing. I think that, if you then want it to be a partial list, you would have to edit the new parts list to hide the parts you don't want to see.

If you have a parts list, and you have split it as shown:

in the model browser, there are (2) entries:

Click and drag the second one in the model browser and drag to sheet 2:

Now you should have the second half on the new sheet
