Content Center Inserted Part Appearance

We just migrated to Inventor 2016 SP2, coming from Inventor 2014 SP2. Whenever I insert a Content Center part, like a flange, it comes in with the same material, "Steel", as in v2014, but the appearance in v2016 is "Plate" instead of "Steel" as it was in v2014. Is there any way to have the appearance in v2016 as "Steel", like it was in v2014?

You can add a column in the Family Table and map it to Member.Color.  You just have to have the name right for the appearance.

If all the flanges are the same appearance, you can open from CC, override the color and save.  Then replace the family template with the saved part.

I'm not able to add columns in the family tables for the standard library parts (e.g. "ANSI"). I can only add columns if I create a custom library. The standard library parts had the appearance of "Steel" in v2014, but they come in as "Plate" in the standard parts in v2016. Is there a way to add this column to a Standard library part, like the ANSI library?

There is no way to add to the libraries Inventor installs.  You would have to create your own and edit the table from there...

Does anyone know why the appearance changed in this version? Does everyone else get the same appearance ("Plate") when inserting, say, an ASME B16.5 flange?

can´t you just change the material Appearance back ? not in centent center , but the base material  and set the Appearance to the old one.
