Content Center - File name settings

Hi there

I am having issues with the file naming of a custom iPart (see attached ipt - copper plumbing fitting) I added to my Content Center library. When I place it into my assembly I get this error ...

I don't know how to get Inventor to generate unique file names for an item which will be re-used within the assembly.

This is my family table for this part, any clues as to where I'm going wrong?

Thank you

Rob

That message is saying..  In the published location for your content center parts..   Another part with that same file name exist but it was generated from another family.   Not sure if that's the case but you have to review it to make sure some other part didn't end up with the same part number that translated to a filename.

Thanks Mark. I didn't realise Inventor creates a directory to store the physical files. I deleted the parts I created earlier and published the new one and it works.

I need to educate myself further on the purpose of the Family Name, Family Description etc
