Content Center - Family Table Window display issue

I'm seeing some weird behavior for the Family Table window.

I'm using a multi-monitor set-up and I have the Inventor app on my monitor. The main display is my laptop screen. When I open the Content Center Editor, and I choose to open the family table, I get different results depending on which screen the Content Center Editor window is on. Ideally, I'd like all my Inventor windows on the same display, but If I open the Family Table window when the Content Center Editor is on the Monitor screen, along with the Inventor application; I get this result:

If I close out of that and then move the Content Center Editor window to my "laptop screen" and then open the table editor, the table editor comes up on the monitor screen as it was displayed before, but the window is fixed:

I'm not sure why this is reacting this way. Both monitors are 1920 x 1080 display.  The laptop is my Main Display.

Thanks for moving this to the correct forum.

It's not just the Content Center window that's messed up. There's a few others:

I have noticed this as well. Depending on which screen the editor is on prior to launched the family table messes up the display. But my laptop has a much higher resolution, and I think I have fixed it by editing the scaling options of Inventor from the icon.

Try these for Inventor (right-click > Properties on a shortcut/launched icon):

Other options would be (tips that Johnson had been suggesting a lot lately) :

  1. Right-click on the Inventor icon on the desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> “Change high DPI settings” -> check both boxes. Or
  2. Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> create "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR” and set it to 0.

Changing DPI scaling doesn't work for me. I think because that setting makes it scale based on the main display settings.  I'm not using Inventor on the main display. I'm using it on another monitor.

I did a quick test and switched my main display to the monitor I'm using Inventor on and the windows are scaled correctly. It seems that for my windows to scale appropriately, I need to run Inventor on my main display?

Using 2020.5

Hi! Another thing to try is to disable Qt Scaling.

Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> create "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR” and set it to 0.

Many thanks!
