Component not visible in section view

Hello,

I have an odd problem. When sectioning an assembly in a drawing, I have 1 component that will not become visible on the section view of the drawing. But yet appears on any other view I create. It is also visible in the assembly model either and not part of any views or level of detail settings. The even weirder behavior is, the component doesn't show up in the model browser of the drawing view unless i make the sub-assembly the component belongs to "not" visible. See attached, the component is not even part of the model tree until after the visibility setting is changed.

The only thing I can come up with is the file is imported from Pro/e, as it was downloaded from the suppliers website. If any of you have any idea what could be going on, I would appreciate the feedback

Hi! There are a few possibilities. 1) The part does not contain sectionable geometry. It is not body geometry. Maybe it is surface or mesh. 2) The part body checks bad. 3) There is a bug in section view.

Without seeing the actual files, it is very hard to comment further. Could you share the files here?

Hi Johnson,

I'd rather not share the files publicly. But I can say this. The imported part if sectioned directly, sections. And I have tried creating other base views in new drawings with the same result. I believe it is a bug in how inventor sets visibility on sectioned assemblies.

I have attached a few screenshots to try and help explain. If further details are needed, maybe we should just open a helpdesk?

Even with section participation to none, that component is not visible, while others are. It appears that only components which that are intersected by the section line are affected by this command.
