Collaborative View

Good Morning All,

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to create a step file from a Collaborative View Link? Our server at work was hacked and we lost everything so I am doing my best to retrieve what I can. I sent Links to a few Customers last week, but have since lost the native files so this is my only hope.

Thanks

I don't think you can do this.  The file shown on the shared views is a dwfx file I believe.  The best you can do is be able to reference it and create it from scratch in Inventor.

This is what I figured, but it's worth asking the question. Thanks!

Hi Guys,

The viewables in the cloud are not dwf files. They are a proprietary format for cloud compute. At the moment, it mainly captures the geometry, colors, and component structure. And, users can add markups. Currently, dwf files capture much more than that. iProperties, BOM, PosReps, Design View Reps, and Simulation results. Also, you can measure the geometry if enabled.

Many thanks!
