Circular Pattern of Feature

I am trying to replicate a feature on this cylindrical part (See attachment). on each quadrant of the revolution. ie 4 of these.

It keeps popping up with an error:

One or more feature occurrences failed to execute. Use Edit Pattern to change the pattern definition or suppress on the occurrences that failed.
I am not sure what this means, nor am I sure on how to resolve this.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi!

Due to some complex faces, some features can fail on patterns or mirros.

In your example, you can do an slightly different approach.

First you can isolate the solid you want to repeat, and then you repeat the all the isolated solid (not the problematic feature)... and that's it!!

I seriously doubt this is your true Design Intent as this isn't manufacturable.

Do you have any images of real world part or something very similar?

Hi! This should be done via Guide Surface Sweep to ensure profile orientation along the path (following guide surface normal). The original path was unnecessarily complicated. Like Carlos already found out, the resultant sweep cannot be patterned as is. Instead, use Pattern Body -> Join option. Then cut it using Combine.

Please take a look at the attached part.

Many thanks!

Thanks all for your replies, I have modified the drawing to be perpendicular to the plane (Rather than about the centre axis). From there I was able to do a circular pattern about the centre axis.
