Checking Derived Part into Vault

Is there a solution to this problem?

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/vault-checkin/m-p/5824564/highlight/true#M562431

I found this conversation in the search and read the solution stating there was an issue with Vault and derived parts.

The issue seems to have resolved itself, I'm creating derived parts and checking in and out of Vault. If the issue arises again I'll provide more detail.

HI ...

What error are you getting?

Review the following blog with a possible solution:

http://blogs.rand.com/support/2016/07/vault-check-in-error-the-following-files-cannot-be-resolved-wi...

Try this for a possible solution:

The solution is to open (or edit) the derived part that has lost its original component and right click on the instance in the Inventor Browser.  Choose the highlighted option to 'Break Link With Base Component'. Note: Suppress Link with Base Component will not work!

Save and you can now Vault the Assembly.

I've never had any issues checking in derived parts.

Please post more information about your specific issue.

I have yet to see a problem with it, and I derive parts more often than not.

Can you post some screenshot of your error, and maybe some further explanation of the situation?

I edited my original post.

I was having a problem on first try and searched the forum for the issue. I read that Vault and Derived Parts did not get along so I posted my original question. I read others did not experience any problem. I tried again and all worked well, I've been doing it all day. The original difficulty was probably user error.
