Changing hatch pattern of ipt in Half Section View

As the title alludes, how does one change the pattern shown when an ipt is sectioned from use of the view tab?

Currently, I see a terrible version of a concrete hatch pattern. It almost looks like a blurry Mortadella.

I take a lot of screen snips, as the project or part progresses, and looking at the results are depressing.

Neither a material or appearance change makes a difference. I see no options to alter this result.

Lets assume we're dealing w/ any of the newer ACI versions.

Thank you.

Yeah, I get that too.  Currently I do not know of a method to change it.  Ilogic maybe?

There are some ideas when it comes to the view section functionality.

Here is one idea that you might be able to place your thought into when it comes to the hatch pattern.

Otherwise you can create your own here. Inventor IdeaStation

If you do create your own idea, place a link here to it.

Hi! I just want to double-check. Is this about the hatch in section view in a drawing or the virtual section in a part or an assembly?

Many thanks!

virtual section in a part

blandb's reference to Glenn Chun's steps for changing the registry is acceptable. However, no way the higher-ups will grant me access to change the registry. I don't require anything fancy. The default is just hideous to look at. I'd be ok with [If string value is “-“ (dash), you get no texture at all on cap faces].
