Changing Authoring information is not possible after a part is published in Content Center, we have published fittings as a custom part in CC now we need to add another work point in the existing published part we cannot do by change the Template if any way to achieve this condition. INV 2024

  • Place a sample of the part from the Content Center
  • Edit that part and add the desired workpoint(s)
  • In the CC Editor dialog, find the family, right click and select Replace Family Template; use the file you just edited.

Good luck!

Thank foy your suggestions I have already tried this method by replace family template.
Result in the model tree I found the third work point, but I can't use the file in the tube and pipe environment after that I checked the file, No changes in the authoring window.

I need to add 3rd WorkPoint in the existing CC family. without obsolete the existing files.

Using the method mentioned above by @SBix26 is the only way to do this without creating a brand new Family with the new authoring information.  And neither case will change instances of the component that have already been placed.  Have you tried to use either "Replace Fitting" or "Replace from Content Center" on those older fittings to see if the third poont becomes available?  If not you may need to manually delete the fittings and place them again.
