Change name on parts?

I`ve tried to find a solution to my topic, but the one thing I found as a possible solution didn`t work.

I managed to save a part with the wrong name, and by using design assistant I found out I could easily change it.

But no, opened the file, pressed manage and right click in the actions field, but the rename is greyed out.

Is it just one part, and not in an ADSK Vault?

If so,

Just rename in explorer, but the IPT and IDW ...

Open the IDW and just repath it to the renamed file ...

Open the assembly in Design Assistant, then you can change the name of the component.  You can't change the name of the top level item in DA.

Hi! The reason why Rename is grayed out is because the file is loaded in the memory at the moment. You need to close Inventor and go to Start -> All Programs -> Autodesk -> Autodesk Inventor xxxx -> Tools -> Design Assistant and then open the file there.
