Chain Set Dimension Centre Point Selection

Has anybody worked out a way of selecting the centre point of a part whilst running the Chain/Chain Set command?

The green dot appears when using the Dimension command but does not appear when using the Chain/Chain Set Command.

Hi @MJH_

You can manually delete "middle" dimension and reconnect left and right dimension on midpoint.

Unfortunately I've got 100s of bracket centres to dimension so this solution is just as time consuming as creating centre lines and dimensioning to those.

Did you mean like this one?

Yep exactly like that, how did you achieve that without having to manually modify the dimensions? I'm using Inventor 2022.2

First, create regular dimension 81.40 with left line and midpoint.

Choose command Chain and select your dimension 81.40. Right click and select continue

select midpoints

Last, select right vertical line.

Ah brilliant! It was the "right-click > continue" that I was failing to do. Thank you.
