Jim - I responded to the issue you brought up in the thread titled
"Centermarks". Again, I apologize for taking so long to get back to you.
Dave - I can explain what is supposed to happen, but without the models and
drawing, I can only guess at what is happening in this specific instance.
And unfortunately, my guess' are no better nor worse than the replies you
have already received. I cannot emphasis enough the importance of the
models and drawings that the users provide. They are invaluable in deducing
any problems with the software. Plus they show us how the software is being
used, sometimes in ways we did not expect.
The legs of the center mark are supposed to be drawn only if they intersect
the circular edge. So, for a full circle, you get four legs. However, if a
wedge of the "pie" were missing at say 3 o'clock, then the right horizontal
leg would be missing. In this case, only a short, little leg is drawn.
My guess (which is the same as someone else suggested) is that the circular
edge does not intersect the left horzontal leg of the center mark.
There are two ways I can think of to change this:
1. You can extend the exiting leg. When you select the center mark, you
should see four green dots at the ends of the center mark legs. Grab the
left horzontal one and extend it to the desired point.
2. You might want to look at the geometry of the slot. Is the arc
tangential to the line geometry? If not, making it tangential might help.
I hope this helps!
