Center part after extrusion

Hi, I'm trying to follow this youtube tutorial for using revolve, and I messed up the second extrude because it's off-center, and I don't know how to correct it.

Also, what's the importance of centering and anchoring parts? I see a lot of discussion saying you should do it, but don't understand the reasoning.

Help please

Wow - whoever did that youtube video should go back to school.

Create your sketch relative to the Z axis and Revolve about the Z axis.

Thanks. I'll do that.

Why is it important to center and anchor a sketch? Is there something wrong with having the sketch just float?
