CENTER OF GRAVITY SHOWING FOR ALL PARTS

We are having an issue with center of gravity visibility in Inventor Pro 2018.  If you look at the attached picture you can see the issue, all of the parts/assemblies in the assembly have the center of gravity visible.  If I open each part and assembly they all look good.  I believe this occurred after a check in to Vault and a restart of Inventor.

My co-worker restarted Inventor to create a .dwf and when he re-opened it, it looked like this.  (We have to restart Inventor to create dwf's for assemblies otherwise the file is way too big.  I don't know what is up with this either.)

A couple of things..

First when you sharing an image in your posting, please adhere to this guideline: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-forum/embedding-an-image/td-p/7695110

Next..  Have you applied all the updates to Inventor 2018?  Inventor 2018.2 and 2018.2.3 (through your Autodesk Account)..  2018.2.3 update resolves a COG issue in your assemblies.  Smiley Wink

I have 2018.2.3.  I am not sure about my coworker, where the issue started.  I will check when he gets in.  Here is what we have going on since the last picture didn't work.  There is a tank in there somewhere.  This assembly is set up in stages and as I work my way through them eventually the issue is gone.  None of those parts/assemblies actually have the CoG turned on.

Hi! Could you go to Help -> About and check if you have 2018.2.3 Update installed? If yes, I will need to see the files. Please send them directly to me (johnson.shiue@autodesk.com). The issue should have been fixed on 2018.2.3.

Many thanks!

We both have the update 2018.2.3.  My coworker just installed it yesterday actually.  The problem actually seemed to fix itself.  He re-opened the file and it all looks good.  I just opened and it looks good as well.

Hello!

We're having the same issue, see attached screenshot. Has this ever been fixed? Working in IV 2023.2.1

thanks

Do you know how to turn off center of gravity symbols - but they remain visible?

Does Manage >Rebuild All return any errors?

Can you Attach the file(s) here that exhibit this behavior?

I can’t tell from just one image - but it appears that surface normals are also reversed.

Hi! First thing I would try is to turn off COG symbol. Go to View -> click on COG button. If the triads still appear in the graphics window, this could be a graphics corruption issue. As JD mentioned here, go to Manage -> Rebuild All -> Save. Reopen it. Do they go away now?

Many thanks!

This works!

But I had to also check-in, close, and then check out my model from the Vault.

In my case, COG was present on only one part continuously.
