Cant use Inventor Cam 2020 in Inventor 2021

How do you use Inventor Cam with Inventor 2021?

I have uninstalled Inventor 2020 and then installed Inventor 2021 but Inventor Cam 2020 cant work with Inventor 2021

tried to install the latest update for Inventor Cam (2020.31) but says that Inventor 2020 is missing.

What to do??????

Hi @griptechshop 

Unfortunately no.     Also Inventor Cam 2021 hasn't been released yet. It's usually mid-April when the collections are released not when the main individual software's are released.   

Shouldn't be much longer

i assume you need to keep Inventor 2020 installed to be able use CAM 2020 with Inventor 2021

it works fine here but i still have Inventor 2020 installed

using CAM 2020.3 with Inventor 2021 see screenshot below

I have to verify that I had 3.1 update for Inventor Cam installed for it to show up in my 2021.... 

However I'm not saying it's going to be fully compatible or work properly, that's something maybe @johnsonshiue could verify.

looks like you need to install Inventor CAM 2020.3.1 to be compatible with 2021

• Fixed a licensing issue which prevented the 2020.3 update of Inventor CAM from running with Inventor 2021. (#19874)

I guess my mistake was to uninstall Inventor 2020 first.

Have you still got Inventor 2020 installed on your computer?

you will need to install 2020 again if you want to use Inventor CAM with 2021 or wait until the 2021 version comes out

Iv'e downloaded Inventor Cam ultimate 2021 and Inventor 2021, but it seems only Inventor Cam express has downloaded.

Any thoughts?

You have to go to registry key and change the value of ProductEdition and type INHSMP

This worked for me.
