cannot select solids in a multi-body solid part to "make components"

Please tell me why I cannot select a solid in the attached multi-solid part to "make components".  Also, I'm not able to produce a drawing of the part.

Running the "Rebuild All" command fixed it.

Manage tab>Rebuild All

You should also install the Service Packs and Updates for your version of Inventor.
