Hi All,

We are getting the below error while working on the assembly. This error is repetitive when using any command in the assembly file. Also, when we open the subassembly separately from windows explorer then the file is giving not give any error.

Did anyone face this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Hi!

Maybe it´s a too-long name and location file. Windows don't like that and it's probably the cause of the issues you describe.

Hi ccarreiras,

It works when we rename and try to short file names.

Thanks a lot.

Further, any idea about what will be the maximum limit for the character names?

I think is about 40 characters, but I'm not sure... google it.

From my brief reading here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/fileio/maximum-file-path-limitation?tabs=registry

The maximum path and filename was 260 characters.  After Windows 10 v1607, a registry setting is available to remove the restriction from Windows32 file and directory functions.  I don't know if Vault can work with the longer path details that are enabled by the registry setting.

I plan to limit our Vault Workspace path/filename depth to around 240 characters to avoid any issues.
