cannot insert autocad file into inventor sketch environment

Hi,

My problem with inventor is that I cannot insert autocad file into sketch environment (no error highlight and note)-when I click open, nothing happens and also in saving as (converting .idw into dwg file), the option button cannot open and if I save it "problems encountered while saving the document".

I already tried crtl-shift-C then crtl-shift-V, nothing happens also.

Autodesk Inventor 2013

I have had this problem as well. I belive what I have been doing is creating a sketch and select ACAD under INSERT on the ribbon. If that does not work go under manage and select IMPORT. One of those two always works for  me.

Try EXPORTING instead of saving for the .idw to .dwg

Make sure you have DWG TrueView installed as well.
