Cannot Flat Pattern Tapering Cylinder

Hi,

I'm having problems creating a flat pattern from a tapering cylinder. The Cylinder has a cut down the length of it and it should be a simple operation to flat pattern it, but for some reason it isn't working. Any help would be much appreciated. Part attached below

If you create your tapered cylinder with sheet metal functions it has better results.

I've attached a lofted flange version of your file, did not make it that accurate so make sure to check if it meets your requirements.

Thanks Niels,

I don't usually use the sheet metal tools, so I'll bear that in mind next time I need to do something like this.

@mickmac06

One problem with the technique that you used is the cut edge is not perpendicular the to the thickness...

If you revolved a single (angled) line around an axis as a Surface Body and then Thickened - it would convert correctly to a Sheet Metal part.
