Hi everybody. I'm facing an extremely frustrating issue with this simple simple simple spline sketch imported from a DXF file : Nothing I do helps making it extrudable ! Pure nonsense.
Can anyone have a look and tell me where's the hack?
Screen capture of what you see?
I do not see anything in the sketch?
Did you Attach the correct file?
I tried your part. I not sure how you get into that situation when "extrude" feature is sick. I can see that you have a shared sketch used by plate and extrude features. This sketch contains a rectangle and a point nothing else. The plate feature extrudes the rectangle however the extrude feature fails because it has nothing to extrude...
So I deleted all features but the sketch, from the sketch removed all geometries and placed the sketch block (Block1). Then I tried to extrude this sketch and it worked:
Thanks,
Csaba
Ah, I didn't see the Block because it was not in a sketch.
@brigitte.naderStart a new sketch and right click on the Block and select Place Block into your Sketch.
Thanks so much for having spent some time on my issue, and sorry for the lack of clarity of my initial post... the logo was in the block section !
I followed your process, placing the block in a clean sketch, and badaboum... the same problem arises (see my two captures). The L and the I extrudes perfectly, but when I try to extrude the S, problem... no extrusion anymore.
Do you think the fact it works on your config, and not on mine would have anything to do with missing constraints or relaxed mode options in my settings?
kelly.young has embedded your images for clarity.
Hi! Please attach the part file here. This has something to do with how Inventor recognize a profile. In some case, when there is a missing constraint or a de-generated curve, the profile recognition can misbehave.
I would like to take a look at the part you have right now and see if there is a better option.
Many thanks!

What happens if you do it as a second Extrusion instead of all in one Extrusion?
Hi! Here is an example of using Boundary Patch and Thicken. Please take a look and see if it works for you.
Many thanks!
